to the home page of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists SFASU Student Chapter. Our chapter is focused on presenting geologically-minded students with job contacts, educational opportunities, and chances to provide community service. We regularly attend AAPG national events, such as the national convention and student job expo. We also take part in the AAPG Visiting Geologist program, and we occasionally sponsor petroleum short courses unique to SFA. Other annual events the AAPG participates in are camp-outs, field trips, and SFA's homecoming festivities. Links to photos of past events are located near the bottom of the page.
Meetings!
The AAPG holds meetings through the semester. Any SFA student with
an interest in geology is encouraged to attend. For meeting times
and membership information, please contact sfasuaapg@hotmail.com
or call the Geology Department at (936)468-3701.
Houston!
Our main goal for this year is to attend the national convention during
the summer of 2006, located in Houston, Texas. Please attend the
AAPG meetings for more information on the preparation for the convention.
