Dr. Ledger received his B.S. degree from SFA in 1970 in chemistry. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in geology from Texas A&M University and returned to SFA in 1981. Dr. Ledger teaches Introductory Geology, Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Ground Water and Hydrogeology, and X-Ray Diffractometry (including clay minerals). His research interests include quantitative rock analysis, natural radioactivity, geochemistry, and ground water quality. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (and a charter member of the Division of Environmental Geosciences) and the Clay Minerals Society. His hobbies include gardening and restoring old tractors.
