In the Spring semester, the petrology class takes a trip to the Llano Uplift area of Central Texas. Students see sedimentary rocks with features such as mudcracks and ripple marks, igneous intrusive bodies like Enchanted Rock, and a wide variety of metamorphic rocks. Of course, we also make sure to stop at Cooper's BBQ and go to the German restaurants in Fredericksburg!
