One of our mapping projects was the Parowan Gap area in Utah. Click on a picture to enlarge it.

Ancient petroglyphs are visible on rocks in a part of Parowan Gap called The Narrows.

We had several birthdays during our four-day stay in Parowan Gap: Marcy, Richard, Starla, and Jennifer. We celebrated with chocolate cake.

We found some strange and interesting things sitting on a worn-out towel. Across from the Gap was a pit containing several miniature mud huts. One day during mapping, Ryan had a lunch buddy.

Cretaceous boulders from the cliff in the first picture have fallen down to ground level, and some have dinosaur footprints! The professors had some fun with one of the dinosaur footprints which is faintly visible as a three-toed cast in the shadow on the side of the boulder.
