We went to Zion National Park in Utah. Click on a picture to enlarge it.

Our first stop was at the famous Checkerboard Mesa. It is composed of cross-bedded Navajo Sandstone.

Front: Richard, Patrice, Marcy, Jennifer, Ryan, Big Mike, Jake, Cathy. Back: Dr. Barker, Medium Mike, Kyle, Heather, Tiffany, Dave, Jeff, Dr. Nielson, Matt, Kevin, Starla

We then went into a slot canyon in the middle of Zion National Park. There was a water line 25 feet high where flash floods had slammed into the canyon. Potholes lined the canyon walls.

Big file.

Matt chillin'.

Halpin prevents closure of the canyon.

Sing: "The Holes Are Alive With the Sound of Big Mike!"
